Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim - Free App of the Day

Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim is a child’s first guide to water safety. Written for children ages two through six, the book conveys an important message of how to be safe near the water through the story of Stewie, a duck who wants to swim with the ‘big ducks,’ but is prevented from going in the water by his older sisters until he learns the water safety rules. The book features read-to-me audio and contains interactive animations, sound effects, a memory game, and a sing-along. 

MEMORY GAME and SONG: Children will love the Memory game and the chance to sing along with Stewie’s water safety song. Children learn through repetition, and the more time your child spends playing with this app, the more he or she will internalize these important water safety rules.

After the narration finishes on a page the child can interact with objects till they are ready to move to the next page.

READ MYSELF: There is no narration but the child can interact with objects, find the hidden duckies and play sing-along.

AUTO PLAY: Same as the “Read-to-me” except the page advances automatically once the narration is finished. Useful for car rides when you want the child to have a complete book experience.

TIPS FOR PARENTS: As parents who lost their own child in a drowning accident, Stew and Kim share tips and lessons on how to help keep your child safe around the water in a video message.
